The classic steel garage door model 8300 has an impressive R-value* of 12.12 using polyurethane foam-in-place. The classic steel garage door model 8500 is Wayne Dalton's highest insulated residential garage door with an impressive R-value of 16.22 using polyurethane foam-in-place.
Heavy-gauge steel wrap around end caps trim-out door edges for better appearance, improved strength, and damage protection of the insulation. Plus its two-coat, baked-on polyester finish makes it virtually maintenance-free.
*Wayne Dalton uses a calculated door section R-value for our insulated doors.

*Wayne Dalton does not warranty product with black finish against warping, rubbing, or other issues associated with thermal bowing. It is not recommended for areas that experience high heat and/or high UV conditions.
*Wayne Dalton offers a pre-painted wood grain color finish on both model 8300 and 8500 Sonoma panel designs, as well as the model 8300 Sonoma Ranch panel design in the following colors: golden oak, walnut, and mission oak.

Optional Window Placement
*Windows may be arranged vertically or horizontally on colonial, ranch, and contemporary designs. Up to 50% of the door can include windows. Windows placed in the bottom section of a door must use DSB1/8”, or tempered, or 1/2” insulated glass. Vertical lite options will be placed as a special order.
